YES! Conference is this weekend, girls! I love Conference. Curling up on the couch with a blanket during the Saturday morning session while listening to the soothing voices and inspiring messages of the church leaders...Ahhh.
Not to mention our infamous Conference fort tradition. We build a fort in our living room after the Saturday morning session so we can watch the rest of the sessions from inside our tent (we make sure the TV is inside the fort)! We bring candles in, we stock up on snacks and settle in for the long haul. Don't believe me?
This tradition began 2 years ago, in Fall of '07. Though we may not be able to do it this year, we certainly plan to continue it whenever possible. It makes things fun.
Oh, and a big breakfast. You have to have a big breakfast at some point during the weekend. Cinnamon rolls, bacon, hash browns. Mmm.
What are some of your Conference traditions? What kinds of food do you make during Conference? If you have kids, how do you keep them entertained and focused? What is your best memory from General Conference?
Hope you all enjoy the weekend and the great talks we are sure to hear. Drink some hot chocolate, while you're at it. :)

Orange rolls are an essential part of General Conference.
ReplyDeleteCan I shamelessly plug my new blog here? Feel free to delete this, if not. I just wrote a post about General Conference on my new blog: www.notamolly.blogspot.com
